Workshop Outline:
In this exciting two-part webinar, I will be interviewing two of the most knowledgeable and practical Solution Focused women whom I consider to be incredibly skilled and effective.
In the first part of this webinar I have the privilege to interview Dr Haesun Moon from Canada. Haesun is one of the most prolific Solution Focused clinicians today and she has developed the dialogical orientation quadrant as a tool for effective therapy. Haesun’s listening compass shows us how to navigate negative narratives and turn the negative story into a more outcome-based and positive narrative. Haesun’s quadrant or matrix is practical, useful and incredibly effective.
In the second part of this webinar I will interview Teri Pichot from the USA. Teri trained and worked with Insoo Kim Berg and she has incredible insight and first-hand lived experiences with the founding member of this approach. Teri writes that “it takes a great deal of discipline and clear headedness to stay simple”. In this interview I will be discussing how to stay disciplined yet magical and flexible. We will be discussing the “not knowing stance”, clinical intuition and slowing down and even interrupting our clients. As we all know Solution Focused Therapy is simple to read but hard to practice. Come listen to this master of SFBT discuss the subtle nuances of this approach that makes therapy highly effective.
