Webinar Outline:
All
Thabisani Ncube wrote a beautiful chapter in our book “Creative Solution Building” about how he uses Solution Focused principles in rural settings. Thabo is currently the director of the Foundation for tomorrow in Tanzania and uses Solution Focused Brief Therapy in group settings in rural Tanzania and Zimbabwe. Thabo believes that SFBT is far more than a therapeutic approach it is a philosophy of life. In this webinar Thabo will discuss what he believes a SF philosophy looks like and how he implements and uses it on a daily basis. Thabo will share his journey to becoming a Solution Focused therapist with us and what impresses him most about using Solution Focused Brief Therapy in a group setting. This webinar will focus on how to implement SFBT with groups in an impactful and effective way. We will be discussing how to set up a group, what important ground rules need to followed, how to find the groups best hopes and how to build on each participants strengths within the group. Useful group activities will be shared and a case study of 2 group interventions will be discussed.
